Hang the Jake, clamp the C12, and roll with the BPS Diesel Head Bolt Kit.

This is the kit shops need when the C12 has a Jake. The common head-bolt kits skip the three stud-top bolts. BPS includes them. New hardware, no core, full clamp on the head so that truck earns again. This kit works with or without Jake brakes.

Cat puts three stud-top bolts in place of three long hex bolts on compression-brake engines — positions 2, 8, and 10. This kit ships all 26 longs with those three studs in the count, plus the seven shorts and 26 washers.

Confirm engine serial and whether the engine carries a compression brake before ordering. Non-Jake C12s can use hex longs in those holes; Jake engines need these studs.
